ABOUT US

The Northern Virginia Joint Training Coalition is comprised of members representing Northern Virginia rehabilitation services providers, Community Service Boards, Department of Rehabilitative Services and residential providers. We have been working together since September 2003 to consolidate and standardize staff training efforts that will result in time and cost efficiencies for both employees and employers.

While all Coalition training classes will be open to other members, the primary focus will be on required courses that the Coalition has in common:

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide ongoing collaborative regional training through a coordinated coalition that is committed to developing and supporting a well-trained workforce, serving persons with disabilities and others served by the Northern Virginia regional network.

To deliver services at or above industry standards
To maximize available training and financial resources
To coordinate accessible training resources in a timely manner
To offer training that acknowledges the diversity in the workforce's literacy, educational, and cultural backgrounds with materials and curricula that accommodate those diversities
To provide competency-based training
